On an average, 40 scripts will be valuated by every teacher per day and extreme care is being taken to avoid subjectivity. “All the Assistant Examiners have been asked to go through the key sheets carefully and instructed to value the scripts accordingly,” said Manmadha Reddy, Director of Government Examinations. He said the District Education Officers (DEOs) will be available at the valuation centres throughout the day while no teacher drafted for valuation will be allowed to leave the camp before 5 p.m. Absenteeism would be viewed seriously. Mr. Reddy said that extreme care will be taken while totalling the marks, particularly in Hindi and English subjects. Subject experts will also visit the camps for clarifications. Meanwhile, 265 invigilators were relieved of their duties during the examinations for dereliction of duties apart from three Chief Superintendents. Similarly, 681 malpractice cases were booked against students. He said that 20,545 centres were covered by flying squads and other officials during the examinations.
