An NSC spokesman said all relevant agencies such as the police, the fire and rescue department and civil defence department have been alerted on the situation.
“We are in communications with them and had told them to advise the public to stay away from the seaside until the alert is lifted,” he said.
He said NSC will decide on the next course of action depending on the information relayed to them by the agencies involved.
